Dear players,

As many of you know, the Treasure community has recently approved their migration from Arbitrum to ZKsync. We understand that this might raise many questions and uncertainties, and we want to clarify what this shift means for The Beacon.

In this document, we’ll discuss our position, the implications for our game, and both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Treasure and Arbitrum

Since our partnership began in mid-2022, we have come to deeply respect Treasure’s vision. Treasure has a stellar and very professional team with whom we work very closely. It is also the home of one of the most unique communities in all web3, one we love to belong to. We’ve always been aligned and have been committed to succeeding together.

The move to ZKsync’s Elastic Chain opens a gateway of opportunity, and we are confident that this migration is the right move for Treasure. We fully support their decision and are excited about the promising future it allows for.

At the same time, Arbitrum has been our home for the past two years, and we have been fortunate to have always worked closely with their team.

Arbitrum stands as a leading Layer 2 network in the space, boasting an incredible and resilient ecosystem where our assets reside. With a promising roadmap, high TVL, and a host of amazing projects, Arbitrum is primed for success and it provides a very solid foundation for our game.

The Beacon has played an important role in advancing Web3 gaming on Arbitrum. Our project holds a prime position on the network as a leading game, counting with the ecosystem’s and the team’s full support. Our ties to Arbitrum will remain as strong as they have always been.

Treasure’s Migration

There are several compelling reasons for their move to ZKsync: Amazing technology, opportunities for massive scale, an expanding consumer network, and the potential for collaboration with some of the most innovative projects in the space, among many others.

It’s a strategic move that places Treasure to become one of the leading gaming blockchains, fostering a unique position within this ecosystem, and opening up exciting new opportunities for both them and us. Our bond is stronger than ever, and we believe we can help solidify Treasure as a leading gaming ecosystem, with The Beacon playing a major role. We remain fully committed to launching on Treasure Chain when the time comes.

We have big plans together, with Treasure Chain being a key part of The Beacon’s future. Among other initiatives, Treasure’s Desktop Launcher will be an important piece in Phases 2, 3, and beyond, empowering us with new functionalities, prizes for our users, interoperability and expanded distribution channels.

The Future of The Beacon

Treasure’s transition away from Arbitrum has several implications for our project, and it is something we’ve taken the time to think long and hard about.

Even though this brings challenges, opportunities and unknowns, there are a few things we are absolutely certain about:

  1. Our core mission is to craft a world-class game that showcases the power of blockchain in games to the masses, where our community is at the center.
