Season One is coming — and it marks the most ambitious release we’ve undertaken for The Beacon.

Today, we’re sharing an update on its launch timing, and why this decision strengthens not only Season One, but the future of the game and the studio as a whole.

Following thorough planning and validation cycle across the team, we’ve made the strategic decision to move the launch of Season One to May 25th.

This isn’t a setback. It’s a deliberate move to ensure Season One is built for success — delivering a cohesive, engaging experience that drives momentum for The Beacon, not as a standalone event, but as a foundational milestone in the long-term vision of the project.

Why This Is The Right Call

1. Raising the Quality Bar

Season One introduces major systems — combat improvements, progression mechanics, seasonal structure, and new features.

All of them are powerful, but giving them additional time allows us to fine-tune the experience and ensure everything launches with the strength, polish, and stability required for a truly unforgettable game.

2. Optimizing for Impact, Not Speed

The New Frontiers Quest showed us what happens when we launch something thoughtfully — 220k+ DAU and one of the most successful events in the space.

Season One aims to surpass that level of excitement and scale, and doing so requires precision, not speed.

3. Laying the Groundwork for a Sustainable Economy

Season One marks the beginning of The Beacon’s broader economic layer. Introducing it responsibly requires clarity of purpose, a well-defined structure, and the right context to communicate it properly.

Building a stronger product first is what creates the conditions for a transparent, sustainable, and successful token launch.

4. Strengthening the Systems Behind Our Long-Term Vision

We’re building toward a future where players don’t just participate in the world of The Beacon, but actively shape and expand it through new gameplay experiences.

The systems that enable that future — from social and combat networking to the tooling that will eventually support player-created dungeons and game modes — are being finalized, hardened, and integrated as part of this phase.

Season One is the first step into that future, and we’re making sure it’s built on solid ground.

An unusual group of goblins has gathered beneath Dawnport.

They are untouched by Umbra, unexpectedly civil, and surprisingly entrepreneurial. They’re running games, dealing cards, and building an underground network that adventurers are only beginning to uncover.
