We skipped the November 2022 update because you were able to play the Settlement Launch game release and experienced that month’s updates firsthand. Now that the dungeon is closed once again, we will resume these updates to keep you in the loop on what we’ve been working on.
Some of the pinnacle moments in a game builder’s tenure are when folks are enjoying your labor of love, and especially when it brings friends and family together. In the midst of the holiday season, we were (nearly) brought to tears by a couple of posts:

The bulk of December (and November) 2022 was centered around building and maintaining The Beacon Settlement Launch.
As we look back on ancient history (events from a month ago) from our 2023 vantage point, here are some of the highlights.
For the 3 weeks that followed, players were able to play a different daily dungeon and daily tavern quiz. Successful completion of the dungeon or tavern quiz would reward players with a chest containing in-game items. Those who held a Founding Character were able to obtain NFTs from their chests.

Early on, players immediately tried to best each other in speedrunning the daily dungeons. Leaning into this phenomenon, we held our first contest: the fastest speedrun of the day’s dungeon wins prizes and glory.
Amongst over 300 participants, Twitter user NAKJI brought home the gold!
